Words On A Wednesday

This week I am changing things up a bit and instead of posting a picture, I am going to use words to “paint” you a picture of my life this week:

2 A.M. – A tug on my foot wakes me from a semi-deep slumber.  It’s Big Trouble, staring me down.

Me: “What are you doing?!”

B.T.: “Mommy, I tired”

Me: “You woke me up to tell me that?!”

B.T.: “Yes.”

He goes right back to sleep; it took me an hour and a half.  Well played, son; well played.

  1. Haha!! Aww, that stinks! O_O
Samuel came down with a cold yesterday and last night camped out in our bed all night. Poor thing couldn’t breathe through his nose right and was restless off and on. Neither of us got much sleep. Oh, and he was up from 2:30-4:15 for no apparent reason…happy and chatting! 🙄

  2. haha!!! Oh Courtney! I feel for ya! Is Big Trouble in a toddler bed/regular bed now? With my first two I had them in their own beds by 18 months. Cesar is still in the crib at 2 1/2!!! I am slightly slacking on moving him out of there because I’m not quite sure what to do with him. I’ve tried putting him in bed with Bency but they laugh and mess around all night and then one of them comes out and says they can’t fall asleep. It’s just pure chaos. He hasn’t tried to crawl out of his crib yet and he goes to bed so nice in there. I wonder if it would be wrong to keep him in a crib until he is 10?????

    • He outgrew the toddler bed at about 15 months (no joke). He has a twin bed, but he rarely stays in there all night. I am horrible (TIRED) about putting him back to bed when he gets out in the middle of the night so he usually ends up with us at some point. I am hoping once he starts school a few days in the fall that he will get more tired and therefore less likely to wake up and more likely to stay in his bed (or I will have to force myself to really make it happen). It’s so annoying when they won’t stay put! haha!
