Wordless Wednesday – Hiding From Potty Training

If I cover myself with clothes and don't make eye contact, she might leave me alone.

  1. Ha! Have you entered the stage of bribing yet? Even that didn’t motivate Joshua. Oh, that boy was something else!! 🙄

  2. That is too funny! Cesar is about putting me over the edge with the potty training. He is a complete control freak and wants to be in charge of everything (turning on the light, taking off his own pants, putting the seat on the toilet, getting on by himself, getting the toilet paper, wiping, etc.). The problem with this is that the process takes about 1/2 hour with him doing everything by himself. I try to give him help and he gets mad. The big problem with this is that we leave for a cross-country trip that we are driving in 2 months. I don’t want to have to deal with this in gas station bathrooms so I told him he can’t go potty anymore (he wasn’t going #2). I want to just resume potty training when we get back. I know I am a terrible mom but I think it will just be easier for everyone if he wears a diaper on the trip!

    • I totally understand the waiting. We’re flying to California in July and I’ve stopped trying right now too since it’s not going anywhere anyway (Troy won’t even sit on the toilet anymore, he just wants to play). I am NOT dealing with that on a cross-country flight where I already fear he will be THAT kid that everyone hates. Toddler fun!
