Trying To Be Wordless Wednesday – What A Difference 22 Months Can Make

Early 2011 – 5 years old and the tiniest kid on the team so he got to hold the ball

Fall 2012 – 7 years old, wearing #1 and waiting to rush through the sign like a pro (no longer smallest on the team)

2011 – standing completely still under the basket with hands up as if he could block the awesome shot the other kid made from that far away

2012 – blocking a shot from one of the best players on the other team!

2011 – watching the other team shoot from as far away as possible (that’s him on the very left).

2012 – right under the basket, totally stealing the rebound – no longer afraid of defense (or of getting punched in the face by an elbow – which is what happened once he got the ball)

2011 – attempting to shoot. the height of the ball in the picture is as high as it got that year.

2012 – taking a running shot at the basket (it went in) – GAME ON
